With the young voter turnout (college student age range) being so low, I feel having the right to vote at a younger age would bring that number up. For example, having the exposure to politics at a younger age would give you more time to figure out and get comfortable with being apart of an election. Being comfortable with an election is significant because it would push more post secondary school students to educate themselves about the candidates and contribute to the election. Consider when you graduate at eighteen. With new freedom (and legalization of drinking in some provinces), there’s a lot of new responsibilities in your life. Getting the right to vote a few years before all of this would take some pressure off and maybe get a bigger priority by students/graduates. The significance of this is that it could spark more of an interest in graduates and not have it take a back seat to other priorities like getting a better job, schooling,
