I hate the fact that HR will suffer if the economy is doing horrible. In these times HR is seen as the department that is annoying the corporation with policies, regulations and rules. When the economy is thriving it is at this time that the company values HR; companies find it hard to keep workers when the labor force has more option to seek better opportunities. HR is an asset in keeping employees happy and are really appreciated when it’s the company’s objective to attract the best talent. I also learned that hiring, development and compensation are some of the task that have been passed to line managers. I dislike the fact that line managers are sometimes not trained to acquire the best candidate for a position. A great HR manager thinks strategically and will help the company gain a competitive advantage over its competitors; by making sure that the employees hired by the HR department are equipped and are a perfect fit for the
