How are pine beetles connected to climate change and forest fires? Pine beetles are a big problem because they’re causing big forest fires which makes people evacuated their homes and causes more climate change because when the smoke from the fire is released it floats up and causes the air to become thinner and the air to become hotter. Ever since the pine beetles invaded, pine tree have been falling left and right, and there is nothing you can do, or is there? When a forest of pine trees is destroyed, workers and volunteers come out and cut down the dead pine trees so they don’t catch fire, but it doesn’t really help because we the trees are on the ground it doesn’t mean it can’t catch fire. It doesn’t really help, the trees can still catch fire. So what can we do? You can help by, calling people to take the trees who make them into furniture ,so the trees don’t go to wasn't.
As I watch them help get rid of the pine beetles, I look at myself and wonder what I can do to help. Pine beetles have also killed over 80% of our pine trees. So let's try to stop them and make sure no more forest fires or over population by pine beetles will happen again.
