Why Emergency Kits are Important to Have in any Natural Disaster Emergency survival kits have been used for centuries to protect people from natural disasters. Most people use emergency kits in natural disasters to keep them safe primarily. However, there are also people who do not use kits because they do not think that they will ever need one because they have never experienced a natural disaster. Emergency survival kits are important in any natural disaster because they keep you safe during natural disasters, are essential for staying prepared and fighting off stress during natural disasters, mean the difference between life and death in an emergency situation, and reducing the fear of the unknown. First, making an emergency kit can help reduce the worrying part of living during an emergency. It can do this by helping you to anticipate these worries ahead of time, and being prepared for them. Next, creating an emergency kit ahead of time can reduce fear, anxiety and loss that come with being caught in an emergency. Without an emergency kit ahead of time, you could experience more anxiety, loss and fear that could have been reduced if you had one. Then, having one would prepare you for other emergencies that could happen. For example, utilities, and power could be out during a natural disaster, causing you to have to find other alternative arrangements. If you had an emergency kit already prepared, then you would have candles, and matches as your alternative arrangements. Finally, having an emergency kit ahead of time can help you to prepare for anything that may come your way. For example, you could lose transportation, or somebody could be injured, and an emergency kit would help you to take care of these problems.
