Re "Hooked on a Myth," Oct.20,2015: Victoria Braithwaite claims that fish feel pain. I absolutely agree with Braithwaite. Some people might think of fish as dumb animals, because they don't show much emotion when a hook is in their mouth or a spear is thru their heads. But this doesn't mean that fish cannot feel pain. I have gone fishing very many times and know the empty looking face that most fish make after you reel them in, and the flapping gasping for water look while lying on the deck.…

For some, fishing isn't just a hobby, its a way to survive. Not only are panfish the most targeted species, perch, crappie, and bluegill provide an excellent source of healthy food, and fun for all anglers. Despite previous surveys showing the current possession limits are okay, I think Minnesota should raise the panfish limit because some people rely on fish as a main source of food and income.…

    1) Pacific Salmon Life Cycle a) As it stands, man-made dams disrupt the complex and specific life cycle of the Pacific salmon. Dams impact and affect the pivotal reproduction of the salmon species by causing a disturbance in the pattern of migration during the reproductive season. The Pacific salmon goes through two miracles in its lifetime of transformations of changing its entire system to go form fresh water to salt water. Salmon migrate from a young age from freshwater streams into the ocean because of an abundance of food and less predators to increase the probability of growing to mature reproductive age.…
