Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School, High School, then college the you may possibly get your dream job. It’s called growing up. For example, growing up can be just like a flower. For example, when flowers grow, they first are a seed, like us starting preschool. After that, they start to sprout, which is an elementary school. Then they become a plant but not a flower yet, that is middle school. Later comes growth into a high schooler. Finally, it grows into a beautiful flower, which for us is college and getting a job. Everyone on Earth starts to grow up and life may get tough along the way, we need to have more independence, and be proud of yourself.
When you start to grow up life can be tough at sometimes and rough but you have to keep fighting. In a poem called, Mother to Son the mother was explaining to her son [1-5], “Life for me ain’t been no crystal stair. It’s had tacks in it, And splinters, And boards torn up, And places with no carpet on the floor —Bare. But all the time. For example, in middle school, there's always one person that is maybe smarter than you, better looking, very athletic or is popular. In the story, Fish Cheeks by Amy Tan. This story is about a girl who is Chinese named Amy that has a crush on an American boy named Robert. She wanted to be American because Robert was American. Amy’s mother told her, “You want to be the same as American girls on the outside.” She handed me an early gift. It was a miniskirt in beige tweed. “But inside, you must always be Chinese. You must be proud you are different. Your only shame is to have shame.” That part of the text shows that Amy should be proud that she is. Even though she is Chinese she can be American on the outside but on the inside, she should always just be
