In my personal life, when I was in middle school there was different groups there where the spy vs the loud but were different from each other and everyone had their own place to hang around with their friends. Every people is different from others because some people make right decision in their life and others don’t but it make them different from others it's just that everyone thinks in a different. People uses stereotype by cauterizing the people in different groups on way they look, think , and behave. In the article “The Myth Of Latin Woman” , Judith Ortiz Cofer talks about her life in America as a Puerto Rican immigrant. She talks about how people stereotyped her how different American culture was different from Puerto Rican culture and about how she want to fit in, but couldn’t because of different culture and traditions. For example, “It quickly became obvious that to the puerto Rican girls “dressing up” meant wearing their mother’s ornate jewelry and clothing, more appropriate (qtd in Cofer page 443). It made her dress up in a different way that she was not used in American. Stereotype is used with her because she comes from a puerto rican culture instead of american culture that she wants fit in but she first has learn so many new things in life.
