What Is Tjax's Global Expansion Strategy

TJX is a conglomerate of off price retail store that are well know for providing some name brands for less that you get else where. These stores include TJMaxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, and Sierra Trading Post. The way TJMaxx store interior and inventory is arranged you never know what you are going to find and it can change from week to week. This has created a loyal base of shoppers who visit often to see what they can find at a good price. Many shoppers like this style of shopping because you can always find a surprise or something unexpected once you are there. There are other competitors out there that would love to steer away some of TJX’s customer base, for example, The Gap, Ross Stores, and Burlington stores. To stay relevant, TJX needs to review their global expansion strategies and how they meet their business needs and solve any problems they face for future success. …show more content…
This should be TJX’s first priority in determining a strategy. The clothing and apparel they sale will vary among different global markets. TJX also needs to factor in if their competition has already penetrated that market and if so how much. There is vast potential for TJX to expand globally. Products ranging from clothing to home goods are something that everyone uses, add that with the affordable price points of their inventory and you have a winning formula. There are, 1,200 T.J.
