What is the Cardiovascular System?
The Cardiovascular System is also known as the Circulatory System and the Vascular System which is an Organ System.2nd The Cardiovascular System consist of the heart, blood vessels and the blood. All three of these elements make up the Cardiovascular System. These elements permit the blood to circulate and transport nutrients, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hormones and blood cells to and from the cells in the body to provide nourishment. Also, the different parts of the cardiovascular system move lymph which is a clear fluid that helps rid the body of unwanted material. The circulation of the blood are connected to provide organs, tissue and cells with blood.

Heart The heart weighs less than one pound and is the size of a fist. The heart keeps the blood moving from the heart to deliver oxygen and nutrient to every part of the body. The heart has three important layers. The three important layers are, Epicardium, Myocardium, and Endocardium. The Epicardium is a serous of membranes that forms the innermost layer of the pericardium and the outer surface of the heart. The pericardium is the membranes enclosing the heart, consisting of an outer fibrous layer and an inner double layer of serious membranes. The Myocardium is the middle muscular wall of the heart. It pumps blood out of the heart and then relaxes as the heart refills with returning blood. The myocardium plays the most important role. Also, it causes the rhythm of the heart. The…
