Riordan Manufacturing Website Evaluation
Riordan Manufacturing Inc. is an internationally known and respected plastics company. They are an innovator when it comes to plastic injection molding. They are based throughout the United States and abroad. With all that this company has accomplished, it is astonishing that they have not brought their website up to the same standards.

The current website would be served well to include visual aids to draw users into the written information. This can be done by adding pictures next the written information an example of this would be to add a picture of smiling workers next to the “Our Employees” section. The main thing that web designers should keep in mind is that the majority of website users are not readers, they are scanners and in order to get them to research the information further, they have to be enticed.
The websites navigation appears to be adequate and fulfill the needs of the current website. The site’s navigation moves through the intended subpages as it’s supposed to and ensures that users can get to their desired pages with relative ease. The efficient navigation and limited size of the website makes the performance of the website pretty good for the way it was designed.
The website is extremely lacking in the marketing arena. While the website does contain a marketing page it is mostly designed for current employees. Rather than focusing on marketing of products the website advises employees of their marketing plan. The information does not include any specific marketing examples but rather identifies the areas in which funds will be allocated. Unless the employees are currently working within the marketing department this
