The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is part of the Department of Health & Human Services that produce evidence to improve the outcome and quality of healthcare for all Americans. In 2005, AHRQ launched the EHC program to promote evidence-based practice in everyday care. The EHC program is the Nation’s first research program. It research includes “reviewed of published evidence, analysis of data to address new questions, and studies comparing health care interventions” (AHRQ, 2014). The AHRQ worked with private and public organizations to improve health outcome by combining the evidence and facilitating the translation of research finding.
