Unilever is a multinational fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) company. It is a British-Dutch company which operates in four main categories; Health and personal care (HPC), Refreshments, Food and Home Care. It is the world’s third largest FMCG company operating in several companies. Unilever is the largest producer of food spreads eg. margarine and it’s products are available in around 190 countries. It has research and development facilities in the United Kingdom (2), the Netherlands, China, India and the United States.
Unilever owns over 400 brands, however it focuses on 14 brands with sales of over 1 billion euros. These brands include Axe/Lynx, Dove, Omo, Becel/Flora, Heartbrand ice creams, Hellmann's, Knorr, Lipton, Lux, Magnum, Rama,

Unilever is currently under the leadership of Paul Polman as the CEO and has several officers that are responsible for different categories and divisions.

This is the global portfolio of the Supply chain procurement team. It was recently launched and has a lot of upcoming projects.
1.5 Sales Performance
The sales performance of Unilever has been growing in the past few years under the leadership of Paul Polman however recently it has shown a decline in total volume and sales. The sales growth is shown below.
As shown on the figure below, the sales growth and volume growth have shown an increase from 2011 to 2012 and then a steady decline from 2012 till 2014.

The 14 brands that contribute to maximum amount of revenue include:
1 Axe / Lynx
Axe is of the world’s most popular male grooming brands. Unilever’s research and development teams work with a panel of experts to create Axe products, and come up with fragrances that help men smell their best.

There are several products under the axe brand. The categories are as follows:
I. Antiperspirant/deodorant
II. Daily fragrance
III. Shampoo & conditioner
IV. Skin care
V. Styling

2 Blue Band
Blue Band and Rama products, from margarine spreads and cooking fats to cream alternatives and cheese spreads, have been a daily source of essential nutrients for families all over the world.
