There is a reason Tupac still holds a place in everyone’s heart. He was the epitome of perfection when it came to passing on a message through songs. Not only was he idolized by his fans, but many today still lament his passing. It wasn’t the beautiful girls or the handful of awards that pique the interest of the world, but it was his BOLD lyrics. If this legendary intellect hadn’t been killed, he would have been forty-four this year and saluted as the “King of Rap”.
Since he has been called the next James Dean, Tupac was destined to save the black nation, per his own mother’s words. Even the late Maya Angelou seemed to feel that way too, stating in an interview before her death that she had once taken Tupac aside and had a talk with him. According to her, they shared a hug, but not before she reminded him why he was important. She strongly felt he provided insight and philosophy that provided a much-needed reality check for the world to hear.
