COMPANY BACKGROUND On the beginning, this company named Toyoda. The founder is Sakichi Toyoda,that grew up as the son from poor carpenter in region of rice farmers. During the late 1800s, Japan want to keep up with industrialized nations after over 200 years of being closed from outside world,so Japanese government encouraged the growth of small scale manufacturing across the country. Including village and even home-based mills. Women from Toyoda family were involved with weaving. The time was very difficult because of labor intensive program. So,to ease the manual labor of his female relatives, Sakichi Toyoda tinkered in workshop until come up loop design until make Toyoda are famous with the manufacturing loom.(Liker and Ogden,2011)
Their first achievement when they could invest a new technology loom machine, it called G-type Automatic Loom. Sakichi ,had improved by capital to enter automobile business by improving the efficiency of Japanese.(Togo and …show more content…
During the recession Toyota have full capacity of skill worker but after the recession Toyota lack of skill worker. This situation occur because Toyota got high demand and they have to hired many worker to fulfill the customer demand. Smitka M.J said (1991) it was hard to find skilled and experience or to taught new worker to keep their demand. Toyota did not recruited worker based on their requirement and cannot provide proper training to the new worker because their focus to keep up with demand of the car and they just select worker without any. This situation affect human resource in recruiting employee.
