Tonya's Dilemma

In Team one, the conflict that applies to Tonya’s case is interpersonal. Tonya seems to have issues with her team members due to differences in values and ethos. I find that Tonya is being disrespectful with teammates because she interferes ideas of teammates who are trying to solve the problem and improve the expense reporting system. It seems that she wanted to finish the meeting early before committing to something else. She views the teammates as an external source, which is the only way to end the products. A facilitator approach is the best solution that involves having a third person working on both teams to solve the conflict. In Tonya’s situation, both teams should learn how to deal with conflicts when it comes to working as a team player. All she needs to work on is listening to the other team member’s voice without having an interruption. In her case, she will learn how to respect others viewpoints in any situation that are addressed at meetings. Setting the rules and clear expectations would be beneficial in resolving the issue unless all parties have an agreement to provide constructive feedback. …show more content…
Tom is not open minded to express his concern of unpleasant odors coming out from other team members food which has a strong smell of garlic and onions. The best approach would be to hire a spokesperson to solve the situation than having team members confront with them individually. It is crucial that the team members should prepare for a discussion on solving the main issues without having a misunderstanding and personal attacks involved.
