The proposed new system

The benefits new system gives is being able to take orders much more fluently (in turn, faster orders). Much easier to tell order to kitchen staff and report of order saved into database.
Tim Horton’s will have a ordering system upgrade for both drive through and customers ordering via staff. Adding ordering machines so staff does not have to directly take order.
Order will be sent through from the ‘drive-through’ terminal to the kitchen where order will appear on a terminal screen and prepared by staff working in kitchen. Retrieve the order from the orders database, collect the customer’s payment, issue a receipt and dispense the order. Once the order is completed, the store’s finance database and stock database will automatically be updated. At the end of each day a report on the day’s trading will automatically be prepared for the shop manager
Tim Horton’s card and staff taking customer order upfront would be implemented and kept within the new system.
