Research Question: Genetically modified food, what do you need to know?

Keenan’s assertion is that genetically modified foods are around us more than we even realize. This article states “Genetically Modified plants are much more common than many people realize too”. (1) This source is both credible and factual because its talks about different foods that are particularly high in GMOs, this helps because it just doesn’t talk about the foods, but it gives multiple examples of each type of food. Keenan pivots his argument around the different examples that he gives and he also shows which foods have more genetically modified particles put into them, he gets his factual information from the studies of many scientists which can only mean that this information is very factual and credible. Tsang, a citizen in china, argues that genetically modified foods evoke a nightmare for many of the Chinese population. Tsang’s assertion is that many people are frightened by what is known as Genetically Modified foods by stating “For many in China, the term genetically modified food evokes nightmares: poisoned seeds, contaminated fields, apocryphal images of eight- legged chickens” (1). This source is credible because it uses information that is both credible and factual. Tsang pivots her argument based off of the views of the farmers and how they are dealing with genetically modified foods. I will use material from The New York Times for information about genetically modified foods and the effects they have on people. I will use Tsang’s text to contrast on some of the other texts that I found relating to genetically modified foods because this will give me more insight on the topic and give me different views point from around the world, not just in America. This text will help me construct my A4 because of the information it provides and how its shows the real life affects that genetically modified foods are having all over the
