Your essay, “The Way We Live Now: 11-11-01; Lost and Found,” interested me because of your perspective on creating my own personal New York. As you mention at the end of your essay, I am part of what you call, “those new kids on the block,” in fact, I would call myself the newest kid on the block (CITATION). I am originally from a rural town in Pennsylvania and have come to New York City to not only educated myself through my classes, but also through examining the city.
