The Trojan War As we have learned from the very beginning of class is that history is something that can be changed and is viewed in many different ways. History is something that is written by those who are part of or knows what has happened in that time. Knowing this there is many different versions of history like books, art, and even movies. All may be of the same history, but they all chose to show it in different ways based on what they know. Of course it may be the same topic, but the people who portray it view the history in the way of their time period and how they see it. So in reality history could be just that of some ones opinion regardless history does indeed change with time. The Trojan War may be a thing of the past, but it is also well known today. How is that even though a thing like the Trojan War is still known today? I have put a lot of thought into this question, and I have come to the conclusion that people like to remember the bad things from the past. It may indeed be a major battle that occurred around the 13th century BC, but why not remember the good things that happened in that time period of Greece. For example Mycenaeans trade that was the length of the Mediterranean. If I didn’t do this paper I would have never known about this trade, and I understand that it is not as big of a deal as the Trojan War.
