He did not kill the king to take over the kingdom, he did it because he wanted to take matters into his own hands. He regretted the decision dearly, and even said he wish he could take it back. Macbeth has also been a great friend to the people around him and he even admired the king. Macbeth is not a villain just because he had one evil act. He has been a loyal companion of the king and a great friend. He fought for the king and even was granted Thane of Glamis. Macbeth is a good character that got corrupted by one idea and he took matters into his own hands. Just as Abraham ended up as one of the wisest men to live and a father of many nations. He made a mistake which cost him deeply but it did not change how he was. One mistake does not overwrite everything good done in the past. With everything said we know that Macbeth cannot be a villain because of one evil act. Macbeth made a decision he thought was write but turned out to be wrong. He has done much good for King Duncan and at can not be overdone by one idiotic act. One act of wrong does not contradict a whole loyalty and right, this makes him a tragic hero not a
