Macbeth was willing to kill not only the king but his cousin in order to become the king that the witches had promised him he would be. It was blatantly clear Macbeth would go to any length to gain the power he wanted. He was truly a greedy man who had let his corruption get the better of him. Next thing macbeth had fallen for was selfishness he did not care for anyone but himself. He had only been interested in himself and not anybody around. He didn't even care for his family or friends. “ Know Banquo was your enemy” “ True, my lord.” So is he mine” (act 3.1 130 - 132)
From this quote you can determine that Macbeth is willing to go to any length to keep his power. At this point Macbeth is a broken man he will stop at nothing to gain
