In my opinion, men are created equal because everyone has the same freedom of choice to do what they want. In the Declaration of Independence, America chose to live the life they want by wanting the American dream or not. Today, the way our nation is, it is formed to have the choice of living the American dream.
In the article “Is the American Dream Still Possible?”, quoted “the traditional American dream is based on the belief that hard working citizens can better their lives, pay their monthly bills without worry.” In my opinion, that can be revised because in most lives, paying your bills is very stressful to live with. Another opinion that is mostly what the American dream is about, is paying your bills to be sheltered.
Therefore, in the story “America and I”, it talks about freedom of America. There is the quote “We have to show that we have something special for America before America has a need for you.” No one has to prove themselves for America to accept them.
