The game of survivor is physically demanding, but mentally it really takes a toll on the contestants. 16 average people split into two teams step onto a remote island for 39 days and endure challenges that pushes their bodies and mind to the limit. Contestants are wiling to lie, backstab, or betray their tribe members in attempt to win the grand prize of one million dollars! Competing on survivor has many psychological effects, such as stress, not being able to thing clearly, and emotional. Being stressed on survivor can drive contestants mad and act in some very outlandish ways. “Stress is the body 's reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. Abi marie seems to have a different strategy than everyone else; she seems to enjoy confrontation while everyone tries to relax throughout the day. Episode two (Survivor Macgyver) Abi Marie was put in the out group due to her behavior, no one wanted be with her. Peih-Gee and Shirin were talking down on Abi and she just happened to overhear the two. She confronted them, Peih-Gee and Shirin backed each other up and they thought they would make a good team so the two stuck together. Abi Marie was in a very emotional place, when Terry came over to comfort her they had a good talk and instilled trust into each other and paired up for an alliance. This season contestants were given $500, they used this money for an auction, where they could buy food, clues in the game, or a letter from home. Any one who had money left and were able to buy the letter broke down in tears reading. Everyone who could not get a letter were crying even worse, even though they get to see there families in 10 days. If we were away from our families for a couple weeks on vacation or something it definitely would not be as hard and we would not be as emotional about it as the members on the
