Specific Purpose: To persuade my classmates to rethink the process of stress.
Thesis: Modifying the ideology of stress has beneficial effects towards people.
Attention-Getter: How many people have low stress? How many people have moderate stress? And how many people have large portions of stress?
Credibility: In a National Health Interview Survey there was a thirty-three point seven percentage increase in mortality in people who thought stress as a large portion of their life in comparison to people who did not (Keller et al. , 2012).
Relevance to Audience: The mindset that we as individuals have towards stress has as a direct association between our physical and mental health.

Stress contract the parties of the heart causing blood flow to build which can lead to plaque buildup.
Over time the buildup weakens the heart muscles which can cause heart failure or arrhythmias (National Institutes of Health, 2016).
Stress is a part of life and can affect you mentally and physically. Changing the thinking process of stress will be difficult, but changing your mind is better than coronary heart diseases shortening your lifespan.
Transition: However, you, the individual, can change the way you interpret the effects of stress from anxiety to other emotions such as courage and find ways to reduce stress.
SATISFACTION STAGE:
Changing the attitude an individual has on stress, and taking action to better oneself by changing the thought process of stress effects.
By noticing the effects of stress on your body and changing the way you think stress effects you can change your mindset and interacting with the community can reduce stress negative effects.

Nothing bad will come of trying to rethink your thought process of stress, but not rethinking the effects of stress can cause negative effects to your life.
Transition: Stress is an important part of our daily lives as individuals and stress can affect our health but we change the results of stress.

Remind audience of the relevance: Stress effects each one of us and by deciding to change the thought process we have towards those effects can benefit us.
