In this task I will explain the principles of effective communication which are general communication skills, interpersonal communication skills, written communication skills.
The principles of effective communication rely upon what type of communication. Some of them may only relate to general communication skills, some can apply to interpersonal communication skill and some only to written communication skills. General communication skills are put in action regardless of the communication’s form. Interpersonal communication skills apply when someone can see and/or hear you whether it may be face to face or through a video for example. Written communication skills relate to when you communicate with someone through paper. This can be for example through paper or e-mail or a slide presentation.

If you are communicating to your audience orally a good idea is to pause now and again to let your audience soak in what you have just said, however too long a breaks may cause your audience to believe you have forgotten where you are. More ways of keeping your audience interested is by changing the size of your sentence, shorter sentence give impact to the message you are trying to convey. Bullet points and titles can help give impact to the message you are trying to convey. Bullet points and titles can help you manage your message better. When you are delivering your message in person a variety of media platforms can help you avoid having your audience distracted. An example of different media can be videos or music. Letting them ask you questions will prompt them to think more about your message. In written communication a good idea to make your presentation more interesting is by adding pictures and animations. Also diagrams can help to captivate your audience in written
