Jean who is the protagonist of this drama is the discoverer of Gordon’s dead body at the café. Throughout the drama, she spends her whole time trying to balance the tragedy of Gordon’s death with hope. Jean is compulsive liar throughout the play until she reaches the “come to jesus” moment after trying to sell a kidney in South Africa. The actor for Jean did a great job of presenting herself at the beginning of the play but went downhill afterward. She seemed to be exhausted with the role by the end of the play. Gordon is an arrogant prick that is very self-absorbed and has a primary focus of doing what benefits him the most. If there were to be an antagonist, Gordon would be the closest to resemble this due to his constant confrontations he puts Jean through. Gordon’s actor was without a doubt the most prepared and outstanding of all the actors in the production. He sold his role well and continued to impress all the way throughout. The other character that has had the most background is Gordons brother Dwight. Dwight has been the back door to Gordon his whole life and after his brother’s death starts to discover himself. He begins to fall in love with Jean as the drama progresses. Dwight and the rest of the characters were subpar as they lacked enthusiasm. The performances transition into climax was poorly acted out. The actors did not really sell this part of the play and seemed as if they were forced into participating. The passion expected of actors was not present, other than the actor of Gordon. From the funeral of Gordon himself to the ending portion of the production until the end of the production was mediocrity. The rising action that would lead to Jean continuing Gordon’s organ sales is set to be the climax of the storyline. This however did not seem to even be considered the climax when acted out due to poor buildup from the rising actions. The climax was supposed to be where Jean gets into a scuffle with the stranger over a gun while in south Africa. During the scuffle, Jean gets pistol whipped and is believed to have died from this action. For a viewer of this production however it is believed that the climax of the performance was the real make out session at the end of a scene. This kissing session between Jean and Dwight seemed to be one of the more focused upon segments of the
