Berry Farm Vs Six Flags Case Study

Improved Essays
California has two amusement parks located relatively close to eachother. Knotts Berry Farm and Six Flags, which offer games, amusement rides, and great food. Sometimes it can be difficult to decide which park is best for your family, but not in this case. It’s very clear which park is better, but since you’re still weary i’m taking it upon myself to take an in depth look at both of them to tell you why Knotts Berry Farm is a total rip off compared to Six Flags.

Let’s begin by comparing numbers of roller coasters and quality of roller coasters against each other. At Six Flags corner we have 19 roller coasters with the best being X2 a wing coaster that operates 20 stories high(200 feet), has a top speed of 76 mph, and with a track length of

Again over in the left hand side is the one and only Six Flags Magic Mountain with their prices starting at only 42.99 for any child under 48 inches or 42.99 for a general admission tickets 3 days in advance. There is also season passes with the most expensive being gold for 129.99, but what are the benefits of gold you might ask? Gold season passes bestows onto you regular admission to all six flags theme parks in the entire free country, free parking, unlimited admission to hurricane harbor, special days when you can bring a friend for free, VIP early entrance, exclusive ride time events, admission to blocked dates during fight fest 2014, extra bring a friend ticket on select days, and no blackout dates. All that just for the low price of 129.99 for each pass. Wow, now that’s a steal for just the price of 129.99. Let’s see our competitor Knott’s Berry Farm and their …show more content…
We’re now going to take a look at what Knott’s Berry Farm has to offer for a drop ride. Knotts Berry Farm’s freefall ride Supreme Scream launches you up 254 feet and holds you there for three seconds until it comes down at a screaming 55 mph making it inferior compared to Six Flag’s Drop of Doom. Now how would Six Flags compare to Knott’s Berry Farm in the aspect of launched rides? Let’s find out with Six Flags SUPERMAN: Escape from Krypton, a vertical backwards launched steel roller coaster that’s connected to Drop of Doom that gracefully launches you 415 feet high at 100 mph and with a track length of 1,235 it’s one of the tallest roller coasters in the world. Now let’s see Knott’s Xcelerator. Oops, it looks like we already spoke about Knott’s only launch ride Xcelerator.

In conclusion: Knott’s Berry Farm is smaller and somewhat cheaper than Six Flags, but Six Flags has all the worthwhile rides, cheaper season passes, and doesn’t make you pay to get into a special event during Halloween. My personal choice would obviously be Six Flags. because of how much bigger and better it is than Knott’s Berry

On a peninsula in Sandusky, Ohio located along Lake Erie, lies America’s second-oldest amusement park, Cedar Point. People throughout the entire world know about it. With a history dating back to the 1800s, the number-one rated amusement park on the planet has seen its share of rides, rollercoasters, and trends. In the nineteenth century, Cedar Point housed a lighthouse, as well as a fishermen port, and was mainly used for fishing and hunting. However, this all changed in 1867 when a local newspaper called for someone to utilize the beach on the peninsula.…

I remember the gut wrenching feeling in my stomach as my best friend and I approached the tallest and fastest roller coaster at Hershey Park, called SkyRush. I am not sure why I agreed to go on this roller coaster, considering most of the time at amusement parks I entertain myself with food, and miniature rides that stay level to the ground. Unlike me, my friend liked the rush and heart dropping feeling of being at the apex of a roller coaster and then dropping down at maximum speed. Personally, I preferred the ground, where I remained in full control of my own safety. Yet that afternoon I found myself standing in line for SkyRush.…

Sit back, buckle up, and get ready to scream because I love roller coasters. My family and I go to Cedar Point about every month in the summer, and my dad and I go and ride everything in the park. It is just so fun! The one thing I really like about roller coasters is that there are little rides for the youth kids also. My least favorite thing is when I am not tall enough to enjoy a ride, which doesn’t really occur anymore.…

One who has ever been to an amusement park knows that this is no simple task. Finding the line tested my patience, it made me wonder if this one excursion was worth the nausea and the fear that this roller coaster would entail. I had heard of this hunk of metal, constructed to look like a racecar, and knew that it would certainly test my courage. The Dragster was recorded as 120 mph, the third fastest roller coaster in the world, and had the highest peak in the park.…
