Cyberbullying- the use of electronic communication to bully a person, typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature. As many of us know, technology is a shortcut to making life simpler. Technology has many positive effects, but it has many negative effects as well. Society improves with the help of technology, but some people living in the society think differently. Cyber Bullying is a worldwide thing that was made with the help of technology. Cyber Bullying takes many forms and every one of them is threatening. Some of the forms of cyberbullying are flaming, harassment, exclusion, and cyber stalking. Modern day technology allows for many people to threaten the lives of many innocent people in today’s world.
On the contrary, technology does give people the simplicity they desire. Yes, technology can damage the people of the society, but things like bullying can still occur offline. Technology does not have all the blame, because people in the society are also at fault.

The people that are getting cyberbullied are known as victims and the ones doing the bullying are known as online predators. Technology is advertised as a great thing in this world, but in reality, it makes it so much easier to destroy the lives of innocent people. Suicide is the third leading cause for youths today; which results in 4,400 deaths per year. Over 14% of high school students have thought about suicide, and as much as 7% have attempted it. Technology was not created for the usage of bullying, but it has sadly come to that. Cyberbullying is a worldwide thing that needs to come to a halt. Cyberbullying affects the lives of many teens and families of victims. Many laws have been created to stop this, but they are not enough to change the thought process of online predators.
