A pediatrician is a profession that I want to be a part of. They provide exams, counseling, education, they administer medications and take care of wounds. They also have to make critical decisions and work with other healthcare professionals. It can be a stressful and exhausting line of work. It has its many rewards which is why I want to be a part of this great profession.

The choice to care for a child should be based on your love for children and a strong belief that it is an important accomplishment to make a difference in a child 's life. Other disadvantages are working long hours and working on weekends or holidays, and being on call regularly in case of emergencies. A lot of pediatricians work in offices that will only run during normal business hours. Some pediatricians can maintain a regular schedule, but most are on call for any emergencies that will occur. Also being a pediatrician can be hard and stressful work, you will have to be able to deliver bad news to parents and children while remaining strong but
