We’re offering a way to focus on the right metrics.” said Aaron Feuer, Panorama’s co-founder and chief executive. Students spend most of the time with their teachers so why not have students grade their teachers. Studies show that poor school environments are strongly linked to poor test scores, low graduation rates, low attendance rates, and student disconnection. Poor school environments include low levels of teacher enjoyment, high rates of teacher departure and low academic expectations. The whole aspect of the environment is through our teachers. Schools need to listen to their students and start to value students opinions. The most important thing teachers should be doing is to make sure to ask the students for their insights and observations about the teachers that administration might miss. A lot of students feel they don’t an opportunity to express their feeling and emotions. It is true that every single student in the classroom can not be satisfied but they should be. The students should understand the teacher 's way of teaching and have a good relationship with the teacher. How the grading system would work is it would be a lot like a questionaire asking the students about the teacher and what they 're good at and what they can improve on. The questionnaires will be at the end of all tests when the students see it on the test and quizzes they will realize you really wanna know. Teachers can ignore all the immature comments students are saying to try to be funny and you do have the name of who wrote the immature comments because it’s on the back of the test and quizzes so you can address it quickly. The questionnaire would be short and concise it will be designed to identify the positive teachers as well as the poor teachers. It would have a space for comments and students should be asked how their class can improved. In reviewing the comments you will get an idea of what your students think. Teachers need to be seen as someone that students can confide in. When students are comfortable enough to confide in the teacher this can sometimes break down those tough barriers that keep students from giving their full potential in the classroom. Setting the example and being a leader can also influence students to do the same outside the classroom which can improve the student 's behavior if they are having disciplinary problems. A teacher who supports students being different, not only when it comes to race or religion, but also in the field of how students learn will teach students that it is okay to be different which is helpful to learn at this stage to keep students from being aggravated with the progression they are making compared to other learners. In my classroom, I like to review previously learned information prior to learning new topics. I think that this is especially important when working with struggling students because if the students do not understand previously learned information, they will fall further behind when learning new information. I also like to use discussions as a way to determine how students problem-solve. I think that classroom discussions are crucial to student learning because they engage students in the learning process. Discussions are also a great way for teachers to correct any misconceptions that the students may have.…

The topic I chose to argue about is should students be allowed to grade their teacher or professor’s teaching style and attitude the same way they are graded as a student in a classroom. Some teachers may look at this idea as silly because they feel as though teaching is a lifestyle and they actually get paid for it. Not only is it a lifestyle but the student needs the teacher in order to progress through school to receive the type of education they would like. Another reason is teachers may feel as though since they were professionally educated on how to teach other people why should they be graded by someone who does not have much experience? After all they are pro’s at what they do on the daly basis.…

It is important for the student to fully trust the teacher, because of that it is important that meetings between the two exclude talk about academic performance (Maele, D. v., & Houtte, M. v., 2011) ♠. Although the idea of community is imagined as a group of people, two individuals can still do their part to build the group community. Teacher and students are different, and because each student will see their teacher differently, it is important to, at least, provide an opportunity for a student to talk to their teacher about anything they want. It is important to provide a clear time where students can meet with the teacher and discuss whatever they would like. Forcing participation seems as though it would hurt trust and Maele and Houtte (2011) ♠, made it clear that trust is very important.…

At the end of the class, I told my teacher about my concern and I said this helps me accommodate for my disability. My teacher says, “You have to advocate and teach yourself.” I took personal offense to this because, it is rather difficult to teach myself because of my learning disability.
