Fast Time author Neal Ungerleider compared this case to the pandora 's box. It’s something that shouldn’t be taken lightly or toyed around with. But due to the eagerness to obtain knowledge the box is forced open and unpredictable measures begin to shape and appear. The FBI demands should be rejected for several reasons. Even though they want to attempt to prevent future terrorist attacks, opening up a backdoor into everybody’s phone will not work. Terrorist attacks aren’t predictable and having the privileges to obtain any information, the government will have the most powerfulest weapon on their side. If the courts did provide the FBI their wish, imagine them being able to observe anybody information without them knowing. 14 citizens were killed due to the shooting, yet Apple wouldn’t decide to help the FBI. Apple is looked at as a bully, and denying the request from the FBI has started a small war about human rights. People only fear that creating a method to obtain data would fall into the wrong hands, however, with highly specialized encryption every phone user could become a potential threat. We pledge allegiance to our country for security, and honor a code to help the government protect the people. With the FBI being professional, Apple could develop a technique that could be shared to enhance personal security while balancing private security. If those that are serving our country isn’t allowed to fully operate, unnecessary conflict will occur which will not only affect the U.S but become a worldwide problem. Terrorist are viewed as people that have given up their rights, therefore obtaining their information shouldn’t be questioned unless the company supports
