Capitalism creates a system where workers become vulnerable to exploitation. This is due to capitalism focusing on making a profit as a priority. Therefore, workers usually are put into poor working condition and are payed low wages for their work. They spend their whole life working for minimum wage. Hence, workers can be compared to modern slaves of the economic system of capitalism. This can be seen in developing nations. In Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto, Marx speaks about injustice that the Bourgeois impose on the Proletarians. He clarifies that the commercial society has made the proletarian slaves towards capitalism. He describes the working class, “As privates of the industrial army they are placed under the command of a perfect hierarchy of officers and sergeants. It must nestle everywhere, settle everywhere, establish connexions everywhere (Marx 3). This clarifies that commercial society does not stay stagnant. It moves and expands all around the world. Therefore, the effects of commercial society are international. Hence, it undermines freedom globally not just in a certain region. Masses of labourers, crowded into the factory, are organised like soldier” (Marx 5). Marx describes the conditions of small business and who the small business is converted to a corporation. Thus, small business owners need to adapt to the market or they will go out of business. In other words, small business owners lose the liberty to pave the direction they want their business to go due to the
