Study contributes to a growing body of scholarship examining the relationship between law and the production of abortion-related stigma. “Extensive research has found that the reasons women give for deciding to terminate a pregnancy are rarely medical in nature. Many believe it to be a horrible procedure and therefore try to allow it only when it is necessary. “The state’s power to regulate medicine encompasses not only regulation of the abortion procedure, but also the physicians who perform it” (ntcc.edu). Many physicians will deny to do abortions unless it is a serious health risk for the mother or the baby. Many physician in Texas, even if they wanted to, are prohibited to give an abortion unless they deem it medically necessary. Therefore many people travel out of state.
In conclusion, many woman have abortion that are not needed. Many children die before they are even born, because they are deemed a nascence to their families. Agreeing that abortion is fine on the terms that the mother just does not want to take responsibility is shameful. Woman and men know that their acts can lead to the conception of a baby. If a man and woman are mature enough to decide to take the next step in their relationship physically, they should care for what happens
