The test was created to study the psychological effects of segregation on African-American children, for Mamie’s Howard University master’s thesis. Basically, study the development of the sense of self-esteem in Black children. The materials used for the test were four dolls. The dolls’ features, except for color, were the same to test children’s racial perceptions. The children who were apart of the study, were between the ages of three to seven. I believe that students need to know what love is and receive it in order to prosper in life. With confidence comes the motivation to succeed. With that being said, what am I going to do in my classroom, is have my students to do assignments that encourage self-love. For example, a poem in which the students write down things and traits they love about themselves. One thing I 've noticed while working with fourth graders, is that they are shockingly rude to each other. I want to encourage not only self-love, but love to our fellow peers. In order to achieve that I hope to include assignments that incorporates teamwork. For example, kids break into pairs and write things they like about the other. Also, to encourage getting to know each other further, the students will be seated in groups. During the year I will assign new seats
