All the types of abuses have some immediate effects and they might also have long term effects. The immediate effects of physical abuse include minor bruises and cuts or severe effects such as broken bones, hemorrhage or even death. Research shows that some outcomes of physical abuse in the long term includes abusive head trauma, impaired brain development and poor physical health. A survey done in 2014 states that approximately 1580 children have died because of abuse and neglect. And surprisingly, more than 80% of these were not yet even old for kindergarten. A child suffering from behavioral or emotional problem might have difficulty during adolescence. They can also be involved in juvenile delinquency, adult criminality and/or abusive behavior. And most commonly they might be involved with alcohol and other drug abuses.
