The Master Aggressor in the Cold War
The Cold War was a state of political and military tension after World War II primarily between the United States of America and the Soviet Union that lasted from 1947 to 1991. The Cold War was more about convincing other countries to turn Capitalist or Communist than fighting each other with weapons and items of mass destruction. However, the combat with weapons never really occurred in the United States of America or the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Most of the battles took place in other countries such as China, Cuba, and Afghanistan. Whichever country, either the United States of America or Soviet Union, got more countries to join their political or economical system basically won the war. Since both the United States and Soviet Union were aggressors in the Cold War, there isn’t really any country that was at fault in the war. The Cold War was inevitable, it was bound to happen no matter what. There was a struggle between two superpower countries, USA and USSR, that was mainly triggered by the conflicting philosophies of these two countries. Along with that, there was a space race, an arms race, and many other key factors that contributed to this war being inevitable. The only reason the USA or USSR are still standing today was because if these two countries fought against each other, it would assure destruction for both countries.
