Visually the buildings aesthetically looked the same; both had barbed wire surrounding the compounds. They both utilized substance abuse programs in their facilities. They had areas where the inmates had visitation. The County Jail uses phones with glass, or another building where they talked to a monitor. They allowed everyone to be out at the same time versus in the jail they would allow a certain amount inmates out in their block, usually by level. The jail would wait for others to be transported due to juveniles being on the compound, versus the prison eventually everyone was out with to the others in the yard. The jail held men, women, and juveniles while the prison held only adult males. A courtroom is provided at the Central County Jail for First Appearance and other hearings. The jail housed up to 800 inmates and the institution held 1,200 at capacity. PCI had paid employees contracted from another company unlike Central County Jail. There were less officers working in each block than Central County
