Great topic! Domestic violence is becoming more and more common, but you are correct, so many cases go unreported. What I find strange is how a domestic call can go bad so quick when the police are called out. There are so many factors to case for the victim, like where am I going to go, what about the kids, and where do I come up with income now. One thing you might look at is if there is any type of pattern, if the victim or suspect comes from a domestic violence type background as an adolescence. One problem I see is a lot of times the victim always want to drop the charges, our judges have become more strict on and not dropping the charges, if there is a good case.
