She wrote this book so beautifully it opened my eyes, I constantly complain about my parents and how they are so noisy about knowing what is going on in my life. It is better to have noisy parents then irresponsible ones. She used such powerful words that made you want to continue reading. The strengths of this book are that is it an easy read, it makes you grateful and also it opens your eyes and makes you realize that not everyone’s family life is just like yours, some people are raised differently than you are. Even though I really enjoyed this book I did find a few weaknesses, one being that at times it was difficult to read and not because of the wording but because of the content. I understand that this is a true story but I thought at times she could have altered the story to make it easier to read. Also the font was very small but that doesn’t have to do with her writing just me being picky. That being said those two weaknesses I stated are just me being very sensitive and overly picky. The author is extremely qualified to write about this subject as this about her life, Jeannette Walls wrote this memoir about her childhood and how it affected her life. I completely agree with Jeannette’s conclusion that to move forward in life you must first accept and make peace with your past. After researching Jeannette further I found that she currently lives in Virginia with her husband as well as her mother on a farm. This shows that Jeannette did in fact make peace with her past life by making peace with her mother. To go from hiding from you mother in a taxi cab to living with her truly shows that moving forward and forgiving those how have hurt you in your life leads to a happy and healthy life. As stated above I very much enjoyed this book, I found it to be interesting, moving and heart melting. This
