However, the penalty for killing an unborn human being through abortion is nothing. Abortion is an immoral action that takes the life of an innocent human being. A largely debated topic between anti and pro abortion supporters is the definition of human life. Human life begins at conception, as explained by Ryan T. Anderson. Anderson states that at conception a zygote is formed and contains twenty-three chromosomes from each parent making up its own specific genetic code of forty-six chromosomes. He goes on to explain that "from this point until death no new genetic information is needed to make the unborn entity an individual human being"(Anderson). Although the zygote could not live on its own without fetal support, it is still an individual human being that deserves his or her right to live. Each human being is made up of chromosomes and starts out as a tiny zygote, so what makes one human being more deserving or valuable over another? When talking about the ethics of abortion Richard Stith says, "those dead fetuses could have been ... their children 's friends. Every friend is a unique individual. To see an embryo as a possible friend is thus to envision it as a human individual, even though nothing individual is yet known about hint or her” (Stith). When killing a human being unborn or alive you are taking away someone’s life, which may be filled with loved one both family and friends. Ronald Reagan, a former present of the United States once said. “I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.” The one who ultimately gives the authorization to abort a human being is the mother. The mother has already made choices for her own life, so why should she be able to decide for an innocent child who has an entire future in front of them? If the fetus is deemed a human being by science and is likely to live a full life, the mother should
