2015 has seen more children and younger people involved in them, because child protection is a huge thing now, so when a child gets abducted or possessed it then plays on peoples emotions. Some of the most influential movies in the early to mid 2000’s would be movies like The Ring (2002) this movie introduced a Japanese or Asian type horror to america thus changing the way horror movies are portrayed this movie was one of the first to use a young girl child as a main character.
