"Wanted" is basically from a comic book that has limited series written by Mark Miller and J.G Jones, it is about an amoral protagonist (Wesley Gibson) who is discovered as the heir of super assassin. Russian director, Timur Bekmambetov, he is the cream of the crop, he turns this comic into a movie that make the viewers not sit still and make their adrenaline and cortisone levels spike with the actions.

Bekmambetov used the similar style of shots and angles with his previous movie, Night watch. Not even that, there are many special effects that Bekmambetov applies in this movie, like slow-motion with sound effects that certainly provides that "ouch" reaction from audiences. Bekmambetov also use his ingenuity and inventing new ways to attack, defend and ambush the opponent. This film impacted the way I evaluated my life. Considering all the hardships the people of Tooksook, Alaska endured: being treated horribly for embracing their culture, young children having to learn how to provide for their families at a young age, and traveling to places in rigorous conditions. Nevertheless, those struggles were forgotten when, the game of basketball was being played; it brought the whole community together as one. As a result: brothers, sisters, teachers, grandparents, parents, and all others from the community traveled many miles by sled even to witness their local team compete in the basketball tournament, the gym was packed. All the people were filled with despite their hardships, it showed me the game was greater than…

John Boorstin realized that through his “eye’s theory” there are three different aspects of a movie that affect your viewpoint of the film simultaneously: the voyeuristic, vicarious, and visceral. What Boorstin concluded was that these three forces impose a particular feel on the viewer. The Adjustment Bureau represents each of these “three eyes” the best. First, the “voyeuristic” eye to film is the philosophy behind the films production.…

    • Giving the audience more knowledge than the characters on screen builds the suspense immensely. When Chigurh comes up behind the police officer in the beginning of the film the officer is unaware of what is happening behind him or what is going to happen, but the audience can see Chigurh coming closer and closer and can anticipate that Chigurh is going to kill the officer. Another instance where this happens is when Chigurh asks the shopkeeper to call a coin, this creates suspense because the audience knows what the character is calling it for but the character doesn’t know that it’s actually for his life.…

Mark Schwab, the writer, director and editor of the film has shouldered the majority of work. The script was less engaging and predictable, and the lethargic acting has only added to the slowness. Damen Birtola handled the camera, framing only what needs to be seen and failed to add an interesting element to the film.…

After watching the video I can categorizes many of the things that I observed under “ professional ethics” and “unprofessional ethics”. Franco Zeffirelli did a fantastic job portraying Shakespeare’s vision of Romeo and Juliet (1968 film). The horrible tragedy of the fate of two teenagers due to the consequence of an unreasonable feud between their two families, the Montague and the Capulets. A timeless story of young forbidden love that cannot and will not be stopped by anything other than death. Romeo and Juliet has always been a story of a deep passionate and pure love that we have all wished for, of course not to the same end. I believe the play to have succeeded on the level of storytelling and having the audience become emotionally invested in the outcome.…

Are you for/against The Assassin, and why? One thing is indisputable regarding the film. It is gorgeous visually, with astonishing cinematography, costumes and in general, production values. However, I think it is lacking in terms of script, and in combination with the scarcity of action scenes, it can be rather tiresome, especially to the viewer expecting the exact opposite from a film of the genre. Actually this is a question regarding if one enjoys art-house films or not, because The Assassin is definitely one of those.…

“All money ain’t good money and fast money ain’t easy” is a common idiom utilized as a part of the African American community. Growing up, I watched motion pictures that depicted the life of African American men through their journey of selling drugs. Moreover, one of my favorite movies that represent this issue is “Menace II Society”. Despite the fact that this movie renders many topics, it above all delineates the issue of young African American males getting involved in illegal drug trade. Additionally, in this movie, a character named Ronne has a son who is growing up fatherless due to his father being arrested for selling drugs.…
