According to American businessman Bill Gates, he believes that, “Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important.” While living in the 21st century, the power of technology is all around us and now it’s becoming such a huge resource for all students more than ever. Except, we need to step back and remember that the main role of the educators such as my seventh grade computer teacher, Mrs. Nash is to teach younger students, primarily in the middle school the necessary skills of using technology, properly. Before starting the interview, I have to admit, I was a little curious about what she was going to say. The main reason, I was so curious about what she was going to say because I had her less than seven years when I was just a little seventh grader walking into her classroom ready to learn about everything you would need to know about key boarding. At that age, I would never think how far I’ve come and now I am currently a junior in college learning everything I would need to know about education and would be crossing paths with her again after all these years. Throughout the interview, I was informed with information from Mrs. Nash that I have never known before such as how she started teaching to her number one knowledge that she finds helpful as being a middle school teacher after all of these years.
