The last stand of Fox Company is the true story of the men of Fox Company as they fight the Chinese’s in a weeklong battle, which unfortunately resulted in many of the men of Fox Company being killed. The book also is able to show the fear and desperation the soldiers that they were going through in the face of seemingly unwinnable odds. Throughout the book the entirety of The Last Stand of Fox Company, I see leadership as the ability to rise to the occasion when you are needed too. At every moment someone was needed to decide on a new plan or attempt to motivate the rest of Fox Company they would. Even though their situation looked dire and bleak someone would try, knowing that the remaining lives of Fox Company were in risk. I read countless examples of this in the book however my favorite example came on page 152 at which Lt. Peterson, while injured, begins to give his men important advice such as never leave your fox hole if they get overrun. He also rallies the men telling them the truth of if that night was their last on earth they were going to make sure that they would as many Chinese with them. Peterson leadership is unquestioned he not only puts his men above himself as he moves around injured trying to tell them what to do but he also rallies the men for what was
