Amari met glory once she arrived to Fort Mose after the long painful adventure. For the rest of the journey, the trio met this woman named Fiona O’Reilly who had slaves herself too. They met her because they decided to sleep in a unknown shed. Luckily, she did not harm them or sold them out. She helped them by giving them food, clothes, and a wagon along with a horse. Amari was glad she encounter her but she saw her old lover, Besa. Seeing her sadden her because he is no longer himself and she knew there was nothing she could do about it. He noticed their skills and told them their job, which they are also getting paid. The trio felt great because they were no longer slaves. Furthermore, Amari quickly received news that she was pregnant and the father is Clay Derby. At first she hated it because she just thought about being a slave but soon she changed her mind because the baby carries spirits of her family. She is now falling in love with her child and plans for her child to never be a slave. She is finally happy because she had found a home once more. If I was Amari I would feel accomplished because I faced many obstacles that could’ve killed me but I survived. If I was in Amari’s place I would protect myself from any harm because I would want my child to be healthy. After the long adventure, the baby could be weak because Amari did not eat much.
