One does not stumble upon a career; it is a way of life that integrates your strongest attributes, and allows you to accentuate faults to make you a stronger individual. Experiences in life have fortified my passion for the field of speech-language pathology. Although obstacles have presented difficulties, my heart has grown in ways I never thought possible. I look ahead and have the mindset that the only way to do great work is to love what you do, and not settle. The rehabilitation setting is where I was fortunate to have found a group of people who challenge and inspire me. Attending graduate school presents the opportunity to learn more in depth about children and adults, as well as, gain powerful tools to effectively evaluate and treat. It has opened my eyes, exposed me to an array of situations, and demonstrated the impact of speech therapy.
