Becoming A Speech Language Pathologist

Ever since I was a young girl, I have dreamed of living in a big city. Growing up in a suburb in Minnesota, I crave the adventure and the diversity a big city has to offer. Once my older sister, Molly, was accepted into the Boston University School of Medicine, I began researching the rigorous academic programs of Boston University.

I have always had a passion for helping others. Becoming a Speech Language Pathologist would give me the opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives. Whether it's conducting research for treatments to improve swallowing or helping those to regain the power to reconnect with loved ones after losing the ability to speak, there are so many opportunities to help others with this career path.
