The problem is that we need to give the football field a new irrigation system. The problem asks for us to find the route of the pipelines and the location of the sprinklers. We have to know the amount of materials, measurements of the field, determine the configuration of the pipes and etc. When setting up the sprinklers for the angle of water, you need to program them to spray 90 degrees if it is the quarter circles in the corners of the field. You need to program the sprinklers to spray 180 degrees if it is a half circle on the sides of the field. You need to program the sprinkler to spray 360 degrees if it is a full circle which are in the middle parts of the field. Depending on how far you want the water to go, program it into the sprinkler. …show more content…
We placed the sprinklers depending on the radius of the circle. We started off at the corner of the field and counted how many feet we wanted and placed that sprinkler there. Keep doing that for the whole field. The placement of the piping was easy to solve. We just had to make sure the pipe met up with the sprinklers and made sure everything was connected. The quarter circle sprinklers that are in the corners of the field that were blue have an area of 1256.63 feet. The half circle sprinklers that are red that take the boundary lines have an area of 2513.27 feet. The full circles that are purple that cover the inside of the field have an area of 5026.55 feet. Sprinklers are $8.00 each so it will total in $400. We need 1960 feet of pipe. The cost of the pipe is $1470. So all in all the solution to the problem was to know how big the field was, choose the type of sprinklers we wanted to use, figure out the area of the spray of the sprinkler, place how many sprinklers we wanted throughout the field, find out how many sprinklers you have, place out the pipe and then calculate the area of the field and the amount of pipe you need in

Impacts of “Kestrel storm diversion pipe” excavation and implementation: The excavation of the channel for the Kestrel storm diversion pipe will result in the temporary removal of habitable land where the channel is dug and around a small area along its length. This is assumed to be from the physical excavated hole, resulting dense and waterlogged soil which is a possible outcome of excavation as well as human presence and construction equipment. Once excavation of the first pipe begins there will be a displacement of small volumes of soil and sediment around each section of pipe. These are to be stored on site and used to fill the hole after the pipe is placed. Any excess is to be collected by trucks and transported elsewhere.…

Baseball is a game of speed, despite not having a game clock, play clock, or any other sort of time constraints. The difference between being called out and safe can be determined by a fraction of a second. That call could be the difference between winning and losing a game. If you spend twenty minutes at any high school, collegiate, semi-pro, or professional baseball team’s facility, you will see coaches with stop watches timing players running, throwing, and transferring the ball. Coaches and players are constantly working on improving their times in order to execute defensive plays more efficiently, which will result in more put outs.…
