Elie Wiesel states in his Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech that “One person of integrity, can make a difference, a difference of life or death,”(56). This shows how my claim is correct because Elie Wiesel explains how if one person goes out of their way to stand up for their beliefs, it can cause others to recognize the situation as well, and they can help create an end to the conflict. In “Hitler Youth”, Susan Campbell states, “But to Sophie’s dismay, her Nazi teachers did not tolerate disagreement or discussion of other viewpoints,”(36). Although the Nazis in this text have negative viewpoints on society, it still shows how if one person believes something very powerfully, it can cause others to do the same. Robert F. Kennedy, a United States senator from the 1960s, also agrees with my claim when he stated, “Each time a man stands for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.” Kennedy explains how standing up for your beliefs can give hope to others to do the same, and help destroy the injustice of the
