From my point of view, hard skills are skills that we obtained from what we are educated or trained before entering a workforce. We gained the knowledge based on what we have learnt in school for an example and apply it at our workplace if the job are related. Hard skills usually performing a job involving with the technical aspects and the expertise of knowledge are usually needed (Page, Wilson, & Kolb, 1993). Hard skills are equal to cognitive skills as categorized by Birkett (1993).
As for soft skills, from my point of view, an examples of soft skills will be communication skills and teamwork and cooperation skills. Having these two skills for an example, it may leads you to a personal success as having these two skills means you will be able to communicate with clients well and able to be a good team player.

This are supported by the findings of the 5 articles. Most of the articles result are shown that soft skills are the highest ranking. An evidence were “science and technology students placed more emphasis on some science related skills, but also ranked a number of soft skills highly”. And also, “science and technology students see initiative as more important than the business students.” (Coll, R. K., & Hodges, D, p.40 ) Initiative are known as soft skills as initiative are more to a behavioral skills. Another evidence extracted from another article “study has also shown that employers place a great emphasis on graduates’ soft skills, and their ability to deal empathetically and effectively with customers and client needs” Hodges, D., & Burchell, N. (2003) p.19-20. Based on (Fleming, J., Martin, A.
